CLIMB Featured Graduate

Rachel is the proud mother of three children. Prior to entering the CLIMB Wyoming program, she worked 60 hours per week driving a cab. She earned $1.90 per hour and continuously struggled to make ends meet and find quality time to spend with her children.

During the CLIMB program she gained valuable job and life skills and earned her GED. “I was scared for 13 years to get my GED. CLIMB helped me overcome my fear of failure, and I earned my GED while in the program,” said Rachel.

Because of her love of children and strong desire to make a difference in their lives, Rachel dreamed of a career as a social worker. During the final phase of the program, Rachel was placed in a job at a Youth Crisis Center.

Her new job is such a good match for her skills and goals, that she and her children are thriving. “The sense of accomplishment I feel is astounding. I have a fulfilling job with an organization that believes in me. The CLIMB program offered me so much. I am grateful to have been a part of it…CLIMB should be available everywhere”

We are thrilled to share Rachel’s success and look forward to her bright future!
